Comprehensive Immigration Support

Chin Ean Tan is a full-time paralegal at Gian-Grasso & Tomczak Immigration Law Group. She works closely with the firm’s attorneys to prepare immigration filings, organize supporting evidence, and assist with litigation matters.

Having gone through the immigrant experience herself, Chin understands how unfamiliar and overwhelming the US immigration system can feel. Her background motivates her to help clients approach the process with greater clarity and confidence.

Detailed case preparation and attorney support

Chin assists GTILG’s attorneys with matters before US Citizenship and Immigration Services and the Immigration Court. Her organizational and planning abilities help her manage detailed filings, documentation, and deadlines across a broad range of cases.

Her areas of work include:

Chin’s attention to detail, focus, and orderly approach support the thorough preparation each immigration matter requires.

A path from community service to immigration law

After moving to the United States, Chin spent 10 years working in restaurants. During that time, she interacted with people from many cultures and backgrounds. Those relationships inspired her to pursue a career through which she could assist individuals and families more directly.

Chin began her immigration law career as a legal intern at Nationalities Service Center in 2012. She joined Gian-Grasso & Tomczak Immigration Law Group as a paralegal in 2013 and has continued supporting the firm’s attorneys and clients ever since.

Education and academic achievement

Chin attended the Community College of Philadelphia, earning two associate degrees with Highest Honor. She completed an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts with a Social and Behavioral Science Option in 2011.

The following year, she earned an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies from the college’s American Bar Association-approved program. Her academic training prepared her for the research, organization, and careful documentation involved in immigration casework.

Languages and personal background

Chin was born in Malaysia and has lived in the United States since 1998. Her personal journey and years of interacting with people from different cultural backgrounds allow her to connect thoughtfully with the clients GTILG serves.

In addition to English, Chin speaks Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, and several other Chinese languages and dialects.
