Owen joined GTILG in May 2023 as a paralegal. Owen earned a bachelor’s degree in English and Sociology from the University of Vermont in 2018.

Before joining GTILG, Owen interned for state and federal elected representatives in Vermont where he worked on constituent services, communications, and policy briefs. Most recently, Owen worked at Philadelphia Legal Assistance in their Medical Legal Community Partnership. In this role, Owen helped found PLA’s presence at Maria de los Santos Health Center, the largest provider of healthcare services to the Hispanic community in Philadelphia. Owen assisted patients at Maria de los Santos with a wide range of civil legal issues including Social Security benefits, heating assistance, landlord-tenant disputes, and critical home repairs.

Owen is fluent in Spanish and is originally from Sleepy Hollow, New York, a historic town outside of New York City with a rich immigrant community.

In his free time, Owen enjoys hanging out with his cat, Leo, cooking, and biking around the city.
