ICE Quietly Expands Immigration Detention in the Deep South

ICE began using three privately-run jails in Louisiana and Mississippi last month to hold immigration detainees. This expansion is troubling given the remoteness of these areas that would make it difficult for detainees to access attorneys, witnesses, and their families.
