A federal judge in Oregon temporarily blocked the Presidential Proclamation from October 4th that would have required individuals seeking admission to prove they would either be covered by US health insurance within their first 30 days in the US or prove they have the financial means to cover “reasonably foreseeable medical expenses.” Judge Michael Simon in U.S. District Court in Portland, Oregon issued a 28-day temporary restraining order that prevents the rule from taking effect.
“The Trump administration will likely continue the legal fight over the health care ban. But if previous court victories are any indication, the ban ultimately will get struck down.”
