Members of Congress Call for Investigation of Tent Courts

In September, the DHS and DOJ opened tent facilities that operate as secretive courts at the Laredo and Brownsville, Texas ports of entry. In this letter addressed to the DHS and DOJ, members of Congress highlight the problematic operations at the secretive port courts and call for an investigation and oversight hearings. “This is a great step forward in holding DHS and DOJ accountable for the lack of transparency at the port courts.”
