Stop Assembly Line Justice

Source: AILA

Currently, our nation’s immigration courts are a part of the Department of Justice, a law-enforcement agency of the executive branch.

On Wednesday, January 28, 2020, the U.S. House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration and Citizenship will hold a hearing on immigration courts. At this hearing, AILA will be urging members of Congress to publicly support an independent, Article I immigration court free from political manipulation.

Take action and tell your representative to call for immigration court reform! https://www.aila.org/takeaction#/.

Policies aimed at undermining judicial independence have made it extremely difficult for immigrants to get their #FairDayInCourt. We cannot allow the administration to continue to rubber-stamp deportation. #JudicialIndependence #ProtectDueProcess
